The Phins wanted to trade down from 12 today, and they got their wish thanks to SD. Now with added firepower, the Phins select Jared Odrick. Odrick is a guy can play either DT or DE. In a 3-4 he is a good end. The pick is not too early, and fills an area of need for Miami.

This was an ideal pick for Miami. Perhaps the only better option for them was Hughes! I think they should have an A- or at minimum a B+
ReplyDeleteA lot will depend on how the team expects to use him. If they try him at NT it will be a failure. He is not big or strong enough to hold up at NT. If they play him at DE in their 3-4 scheme, he has the chance to be real good.
